Contract concluded with my client?
Legislative amendment loi n° 2018-771 du 5 septembre 2018, better known as the ‘Avenir Professionnel’ law. This law, which came into force on 7 September 2018, states that employers no longer have to give prior notification of secondment and appoint a representative in France when posting on their own account. This is specifically the case when there is no contractual relationship with a French employer.
Therefore, if you carry out work for yourself and not on behalf of a French client, it is no longer necessary to make prior notification of secondment, nor to appoint a representative in France. In all other cases, you do need to complete the necessary formalities.
